The new production capacity of photovoltaic rolled glass exceeded 50% from Jan to Aug in 2022
From January to August，Photovoltaic rolled glass present :“Output growth,Low prices, rising cost and profits fall”, the production of enterprise are facing a great challenge.
In terms of production capacity, from January to August, the country's new photovoltaic calendered glass production capacity increased by 55.1% year on year. In terms of price, from January to August 2022, the average price of 2mm and 3.2mm PV rolled glass was 20.9 yuan/sqm and 27.1 yuan/sqm, down 15.6% and 8% year-on-year.
Qiao Yueshan, director of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that in recent years, the scale and market application of my country's photovoltaic industry has achieved rapid development. In 2021, the output of polycrystalline silicon, silicon, solar cells, and pv modules in the main links of our photovoltaic industry chain will reach 506,000 tons, 226.6 GW, 197.9 GW, and 181.8 GW respectively, accounting for more than 70% of the global output; the newly installed photovoltaic capacity is 54.88 gigawatts, ranking first in the world for nine consecutive years.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attaches great importance to the healthy development of the photovoltaic industry. Publish and implement policies such as the Standard Conditions for the Photovoltaic Manufacturing Industry and the Action Plan for the Innovation and Development of the Smart Photovoltaic Industry (2021-2025), establish a baseline for industry development, and guide the photovoltaic industry to rationally plan layout and intelligently upgrade.
